HD Stream
Redefine how you work.
Connect More. Share More. Do More.

HD-Stream is the industry leading software for live streaming and remote telepathology. Ideal for collaboration on fine needle aspirations, frozen sections, grossing stations, and tumor boards, HD-Stream enables users to securely stream live, HD imaging in real-time.  HD-Stream is simple to use and fits into your existing workflow – saving time and money through immediate collaboration and observation.

Users simply need a qualified USB camera to start streaming in full HD resolution to any device – computers, tablets, and smartphones. Our highly advanced (but amazingly simple) accelerated compression minimizes latency to provide industry leading frame rates. When speed and image quality matter – HD-Stream is the ideal choice.

HD-Stream software connects to your workflow and displays a live image from the camera immediately upon startup.  The clinician, pathologist, or physician wanting to share live images from the HD microscope camera simply clicks the ‘Web Stream’ button to begin streaming. They can then easily move their slide, change specimens or magnifications, and the remote participants will immediately see the same live activity on their computers, smartphones, and/or tablets.

The HD-Stream software is downloaded onto a user’s computer and automatically identifies the qualified USB camera attached to the computer. Once the software has been configured on the user’s network (can be done automatically – depending on security requirements), a user simply shares a custom IP address with a viewer to see the stream. The viewer only needs to download a video decoding program (such as VLC) to view the live stream – no additional software or downloads are required.

FLEXIBLE

HD-Stream is compatible with a variety of qualified USB HD Cameras. HD-Stream is offered in a software version for direct connection to your workflow, or an optional stand-alone hardware unit is available – ideal for mobility (connects via ethernet or WIFI)

SECURE

HIPPA Compliant. No patient information is exchanged and an optional password authentication ensures added security for accessing the stream.

PLATFORM INDEPENDENT

HD-Stream is platform independent and streams live HD images simultaneously to Apple, Windows, and Android devices. The real-time HD streaming to VLC viewing decoder is H.264 compressed at 30 fps in full HD resolution. 50+ simultaneous connections available (bandwidth dependent).

Overlay/Capture

A variety of overlays are available to point out areas of interest for discussion and make notes on the image. The overlays (shapes, arrows & text) are viewable on the live streamed image, as well. The color and size of overlays can be customized to user preference.

Images can be captured in various formats (JPEG, TIF, PNG) – captured images can also include overlays and text. Capture video to a sequence file (raw or compressed) or capture video with audio to AVI file (raw or with any supported codec). Auto-naming settings offer sequential capture of HD images and videos.

Measurement
Easy-to-use measurement tools offer the ability to perform measurements on both a live image or a captured image. Measurement options include: line, circle, ellipse, angles, rectangles, point-to-point, and free form (also calculates the area). The measurement tab will allow you to calibrate your microscope with the camera and measurements can be made in um, mm, cm, inches, or mils.
Settings

Users can adjust camera settings directly in the HD-Stream program – including brightness, contrast, gamma, etc. The customizable interface background color can be changed to accommodate low-light environments. HD-Stream also has full screen capabilities.

HD-Stream is a powerful cost-effective solution to streaming high definition video to remote observers across campus or across the world.
